Our study will begin with the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece and Rome. These cultures were a constant source of inspiration in decorative antiques. While you may not encounter many pieces from these ancient civilizations, they influence decorative arts for hundreds of years and so establish the foundation for motifs and styles in decorative arts.
